Diversity in Classical Music Roundtable

In collaboration with Damali Willingham, the final project of our Change Scholar program at Berklee’s Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion involved a roundtable discussion with Boston Conservatory at Berklee alumni cellist Nathaniel “Ace” Taylor, Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music Composition Professor Dr. Marti Epstein, and Boston Conservatory Professor of Core Studies in Music History Dr. Rebecca Marchand. The main topics in this discussion include issues related to race and misogyny in Western European classical concert music and its industry and education.
